Public Safety Dispatcher I
$84,828-$108,012, annually, plus excellent benefits

The City of Santa Clara is seeking qualified applicants for Public Safety Dispatcher I. If you are seeking a civilian career in public safety, this may be a right fit for you!
Public Safety Dispatchers have the unique opportunity to meet hundreds of people who call for assistance. Callers depend on your voice, directions and knowledge to get through an emergency. Using state-of-the-art equipment and training, you will provide excellent customer service while deploying critical resources.
Dispatchers work around the clock answering calls for service and dispatching Fire, Police and Emergency Medical personnel to scenes using high-tech communications equipment from the Communications Center in the Police Building. The Communications Center dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls for service including police, fire, paramedics/ambulance, public works, utilities and animal control services under the direction of the Communications Center Manager. All State-mandated required training is provided.

Potential candidates are required to take the POST Dispatcher Test. The Academy South Bay Regional Public Safety Training has two test dates available during the application filing period, June 10 and 14. Safeway is hiring Overnight Stockers in Santa Clara!
The Overnight Stocker provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Faces merchandise on shelves in a retail grocery store. Opens cases of merchandise using a company approved box cutter. Places individual items on shelves in specified location. Dusts and washes shelves as needed. Checks temperatures in cold cases, coolers, and freezers. Maintains all aisles with a clear walkway. Bail cardboard and clean floors. May occasionally function as cashier/checker.
Part-time (24-40 hours guaranteed per week) with eight-hour, overnight shifts between 10pm and 8am. Must be 18 years old or older. Please note physical requirements on attached job description. We are an equal opportunity employer.
