Introduction to Programming Languages
Python is one of the most popular programming languages and can be used for everything from web development to software development and scientific applications. It is great as a first language because it is concise and easy to read.
SQL (Structured Query Language) is used to communicate with a database. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), it is the standard language for relational database management systems.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of any programming language.

Kip attended the University of Idaho and graduated with a BS in Mathematics, then served 6 years in the US Navy as an officer flying P3 anti-submarine aircraft from Moffett Field in Mountain View. After his service he attended the University of Santa Clara and completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
He worked for Hewlett-Packard Company for 34 years serving in positions in management, database design, software development and data analysis. After retiring from HP, Kip taught multiple technology classes at the Mountain View Adult Education center for three years and is currently teaching technology classes at Santa Clara Adult Education.
He lives with his wife of 46 years in Mountain View and has two grandchildren.
