How can I register for class?
There are 3 ways to register!
1. Online
The fastest, most efficient way to register! Select your classes, use a Visa or MasterCard for the fee, and you’re done! You will receive an email confirmation.
2. Telephone
You can enroll over the phone at (408) 423-3500.
3. Walk-In
Register in person at Adult Education.

Office hours are Mondays, 8 am-4 pm; Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 8 am-6:30 pm; Fridays 8 am-1 pm
Who is eligible to take classes?
Classes are open to all district residents and non-district residents 18 years old and older. Children under 18 are not permitted in class.
What are the fees?
The class price is determined by a cost per hour of instruction. Hourly fees may differ slightly based upon the cost of the class and attendance levels.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds: Please choose your classes carefully. A refund will be issued only if SCAE cancels a class or if a refund is requested 5 business days before a class start date. A $25 processing fee will be charged for all refunds. Special programs, in which refunds do not apply, include Wilson Preschool and the Medical Assistant Program.
Students who voluntarily withdraw from class(es) fewer than 5 business days before the start date or after the class starts will not receive refunds.
We reserve the right to cancel a class if it does not meet minimum enrollment requirements.
Will I be notified that I’m in the class?
You will be notified only if the class you want is full or cancelled.
What are the attendance policies?
Attendance is limited to individuals enrolled in the class. Participants may not make up classes which they
have missed; fees cannot be pro-rated for classes missed.
Can I transfer from one class to another?
Class transfers must be requested at least 7 days prior to class; they are subject to supervisor’s approval.
What else should I know?
- All classes, including those that are supported by federal and state funds classes, may be canceled or discontinued based on inadequate funding or enrollment.
- Classes may include certificates that are awarded to students who successfully complete all course objectives.
- Instructors are subject to change.
- Students may be disenrolled for the following reasons:
- Lack of progress
- Excessive absences
- Disrespectful or disruptive behavior in the classroom or on campus.
- Inappropriate clothing or inadequate personal hygiene.
- The governing Board prohibits the unlawful harassment or bullying of any student or employee by any other employee, student, or other person on school sites.
- All copyrighted materials must be used in compliance with applicable copyright and other laws.
- Computer software, graphics, audio, video, or other files may not be loaded on school computers without appropriate licensing
